Najuan is a social worker and dialogue facilitator. She received her master’s degree in Conflict Resolution from George Mason University in the United States. Over the past 20 years, she has facilitated and implemented several community projects in different countries, with the aim of improving the well-being of the communities involved. Najuan`s professional interest and focus shifted somewhat after she herself became a mother in a migration context. As a first-generation immigrant, she recognized the need for a community and support system around pregnancy and the transition to motherhood in a foreign and unfamiliar context. Based on this need and the needs of other international parents she met and worked with, she and the board members established the Parenting across Borders foundation.
