Elizabeth Groom has worked in higher education in the United States and the Netherlands for more than 20 years, holding both management and administrative positions. Beth’s expertise lies in establishing and supporting academic programs; advising in applying for funding for research and projects; finding your way in international academia and seeking to connect and feel at home within academic and other professional communities. During her studies, Beth explored emerging concepts of national identity and conducted independent cross-cultural research. Even more recently, she has received training in intercultural competencies, community engagement, coaching and dialogue facilitation. Beth plans to use her project and financial experience, combined with her fascination with cross-cultural community building, to support the mission of Parenting across Borders.
